WORKKEYS

Employers today want to make sure that when they hire, they make the best hire possible. Many employers today are requiring potential employees to take assessments to determine their basic skill levels and ability to learn. In response to this trend, the state of Oklahoma has implemented a Career Readiness Certificate program utilizing an ACT assessment system called WorkKeys. This assessment system determines abilities in areas deemed important by today's employers, including Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. OSU Institute of Technology/MAIP is a certified CRC assessment center and can administer this assessment for individuals or companies. WorkKeys Assessments are given by appointment only. Contact our office to schedule an appointment.

ACT COMPASS

OSU Institute of Technology requires all of its potential students to take the Compass exam prior to enrolling. OSU Institute of Technology/MAIP can administer this assessment whether you plan to attend the MAIP Training Center or the main campus in Okmulgee at no charge.

MSSC ASSESSMENTS

OSU Institute of Technology is a certified Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Assessment Center. Testing is provided for the Certified Production Technician program, allowing individuals to demonstrate their understanding of core skills and knowledge though four assessments based upon MSSC's industry-defined, nationally validated skill standards.    Delivered online, each assessment contains about 80-90 multiple-choice questions (paper versions are available in special circumstances).  Individuals are allowed 90 minutes to complete each assessment.  MSSC provides assessment scores as soon as the individual completes an assessment showing whether an individual met the “cut” scores for passing.  This immediate feedback includes a diagnostic report for the individual showing how he or she scored on the key work activities.  This information is intended for self-improvement and is provided to all test-takers whether they pass or not. Assessments are provided in the areas of Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness. Candidates must pass all 4 assessments to earn the Certified Production Technician certification. Training for the certification is also available. Assessment fees include $60 for registration and $40 per assessment. Contact our office to register.
